Welcome adventurers! We hope your journey to Hyrule isn't filled with too much strife.
Only you, the Moderators and the Spectators will see what you post here. However everyone will have access to it postgame. Feel free to share your thoughts and point of view on the game. Spectators will also ask you questions on occasion, feel free to answer them. There are no guidelines to what you can post in your confessional, though occasionally you will be required to post private individual challenge submissions here. Otherwise, the virtual sky is the limit! Roam the open fields of Hyrule and report to us your findings so that we may be part of your adventure.
To get you started, here are a few questions:
{1} Have you ever played Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild before? If not, do you know the basic story or have you played other Legend of Zelda games before?
{2} Do you have a strategy for how you will play Survivor: Power vs Courage vs Wisdom?
{3} This theme focuses on three core areas, Challenge prowess, Social Prowess, and Strategic Prowess. Why did you choose the trait that has put you into your initial tribe?
{4} Isn't the banner beautiful?!?!?!

1) Yeah, I've played through a couple times fully, it's one of my favorite games of all time.
2) Be social, be strategic, I guess? I haven't played a lot of these and relied sort of on my instincts previously and for the most part it worked out. I've never played an anon game before so I'm not totally clear how that early stage of bonding works here? Like in a non-anon game there's smalltalk and stuff which is actually pretty important to establishing a rapport you can build on and I dunno how much people will reference RL stuff, I assume not a lot or only very vaguely.
3) tbh I thought I said Courage first but I also said Courage was a dumb way of characterizing being social so maybe the mods put me on Wisdom for shading their concept
4) Yup!

"3) tbh I thought I said Courage first but I also said Courage was a dumb way of characterizing being social so maybe the mods put me on Wisdom for shading their concept"
Would we really do that to you? Just what kind of mods do you think we are!

So I thought I'd do a quick check-in.
I've gotten at least a response from everybody in the tribe via PM so that's positive.
Hunnie: I think the first person to reach out, seems nice enough, we chatted about Survivor and BotW, as you do. Then she brought up coronavirus (I think the only person so far to do so), I responded, haven't heard back.
Urbosa: second person to reach out, the only person to really bring up other tribemates, and I was a little vague but generally positive. She said " it took a lot of hyping myself up to finally apply for a game on-site, though, but I figured now was as good a time as any to just take that leap" which is interesting because honestly if she hadn't said that I'd assume she's played before, she seemed more actively gaming than others. But maybe that's just her style.
Epona: reached out, we talked a bit about the rupees, pretty shallow but cordial.
Ancient Oven: weird but funny guy, we talked about nothing substantive really but joked back and forth a bit
Karson: He got a late start due to working, we touched base very briefly.
Mipha: So Mipha's the person I've spoken to the most, she's VERY enthusiastic about BotW and very chatty. So I've only played one game prior to this but she so far reminds me a bit of someone who was on my starting tribe in The Real Theme, etc., Elsa Jay, who was a real mess. To be clear, I'm not saying Mipha is Elsa, just that it's something to keep in mind.
So yeah, this is an okay start, I'll have to talk more with people to see who I'd like to work with further.

Yeah, today was pretty fun. Just like last time, my stomach was in knots in anticipation leading up and when I got into the game it was like "oh, yeah, this isn't so bad."

Ancient Oven and Mipha have now both broached "hey how do you feel about our tribe". I may be saying too much in response because I do sort of talk about everyone but it's broad and hopefully not too revealing. Obviously you can say too much early on but at the same time I think establishing a reputation early on as being reasonably open and honest can be a valuable asset going forward.
AO was positive about Epona, and (I think?) Urbosa. The shtick with "FamiliarXName" will become genuinely confusing if it's kept up. I assume he was referring to Urbosa, but it could have maybe been Mipha or Hunnie? who knows, we'll resolve it when we talk further. I wouldn't mind making a three with AO and Epona and bringing someone else in but I honestly would have no idea where I stood in that. It's still day one though, there's a long way to go.

~*Impa's Inquiries*~
Greetings young one, it is that time in this phase where I, Impa, come and invade your confessional with a series of questions aimed to get to know you and the state of the game without having to actually read more than the reply to this post to find out those answers! So please, be honest. I promise I have no nefarious plans for you or your answers, and that I handcrafted this questionnaire solely for you and definitely didn't copy-paste it to every player in the game.
1) You've had some time to get to know your fellow adventurers, tell me about them. Who all do you like? Who don't you like? Who reads like a threat, and who reads like a weakling?
2) Best one-liner you've sent or received in a PM so far?
3) What kind of twists are you hoping or expecting to see? What sort would be the worst possible for you?
4) What is the way you want to be perceived in this game? Which would you least like to be described as?
5) Summarize your game strategy in a gif.
6) What is your favourite rocks fact?
Thank you for your time, I'll be in touch if I don't die of old age and boredom between now and then.

1) I don't really dislike anyone, I like everybody. I feel like Urbosa and Epona have a lot of good connections, and I like them, and I think they like me. Mipha I think is in a similar position but I wonder if everyone's experience matches up with mine, which is that she's kinda over the top. I don't have any particular "I need this person out" and I don't really have a #1 either. I'm trying to stay close enough to enough people that I'll be safe for at least a few votes, and while it might be nice to have a ride-or-die, I don't think I have that yet. If I had to guess, I think AO (who I like but I think other people might not vibe with) and Karson are kind of on the outside. Hunnie I think is above them but I don't have the greatest read on her position or relationships. 2) I don't have a great answer for this. AO's conversation was a lot of fun though, it was thoroughly ridiculous with him claiming Pelison looks like a duck (maybe if you squint?), and then talking about how if I were a duck I could carry him in the water, and honestly it was absurd but it was probably the most fun conversation I've had. 3) I have a suspicion that all tribes going to TC means we might have a battleback, which isn't my favorite mechanic, but it is what it is. My approach to the game has always been that it's social and strategic predominantly, so your job is to make those connections and use them so that you're safe in any circumstance. So even if I'm swapped into a minority, I don't think that spells doom, I can potentially do my best work by just appealing to people and seeming like someone they'd like to go forward with. 4) Good enough to win but not so good people know I should be voted out I guess. I wouldn't want to be the guy everyone feels is expendable. 5) My position does not match this player's (hopefully) but it's always been one of my favorites: 6) I feel like people don't fully realize it but rocks, which you typically think of just solid impenetrable homogenous things, actually can absorb water and a substantial amount of the Earth's water is contained in the rocks of the earth's crust.

Oh also I hate the rupees, I really can't wait to just find out wtf they're for so the suspense is over.

AO told me I should build bonds with Epona and FamiliarWomanHere (Urbosa? I assume?), which I think is good advice but Epona seemed a little apprehensive about AO earlier (and he's not the only one). I think I'm in a better position than AO is but interesting to hear that input. Once immunity comes out it'll be interesting to hear people's thoughts.
I'm thinking of proposing a group PM (which I think is possible?) to Epona with someone of his choosing tomorrow (presumably Urbosa or Mipha), I think it'd be a good idea to establish something slightly more solid before immunity results are out.

The shrine is right: {09b} We are aware that group PMs are possible to create, but for simplicity sake, please do not utilize this function, one on one PMs only thanks <3
