After the call from Zelda, all adventurers split into four groups to quickly fell the massive Divine Beast. You find yourself as part of the crew that will take on the Giant Elephant known as Ruta. To do this you must quickly make your way to Zora's Domain. With the help of the Sheikah Slate, you find that you are able to revisit places you've already been before in the blink of an eye. You quickly transport yourself to the realm of vast water, hoping you've left yourself enough time to conquer the Divine Beast.
Arriving shortly thereafter at Zora's Domain, you begin to feel heavy rain pouring on you. You take cover in a nearby chamber and shake it off. After a few minutes it slows down to a small sprinkle. The water was so intense you couldn't believe it. You go up to the King's chambers to get an idea of what is going on.
Adventurers, you seem to have come at a crucial time in Zora's Domain. The Divine Beast Ruta has come back to life and is sure to cover the world in water if we don't stop it soon. I sent my son, Prince Sidon, to try to keep it at bay until you all arrived. Hurry, only the heroes chosen by the Goddess can quell the beast!
You all don't hesitate as the King points to the top of a giant reservoir. You can see the outline of a giant elephantlike structure that is moving in the middle of it. You all grab your gliders and head that way without another hesitation.
You arrive near the base of the stairs that lead up to the reservoir. You hurry, trying not to slip as the steps are covered in water. Without much trouble, you arrive at the top and look out. You can now clearly see the ferocious mechanical beast as it splashes around, spraying gallons upon gallons of water in the direction of Zora's Domain. As you take a step forward, a voice shouts out.
Hey! Careful! Don't get too close. It's quite agitated and might harm you if you try to approach.
It's Sidon! You give him a nod as he approaches you from the murky water in front of you. You kneel down. He appears a little out of breath and seems to be a little shaken, but keeps his calm demeanor and gives you a grin.
No worries though. With you here now, I think we can handle this thing. I was able to swim up close, but then it shoots me with blocks of ice. If you stand on my back, you might be able to deal with it and get close enough to strike! Thank goodness you showed up when you did, I wasn't sure if this would be possible.
Giant blocks of ice? That doesn't seem to be great, but you wonder if maybe your arrows will help. Surely if you can hit it right you could deflect or break up the blocks. That seems like a decent enough strategy for now. You quickly jump aboard Sidon who begins to swim with great force and soon you are near Ruta. It bellows, acknowledging your presence as it begins to shoot giant blocks of ice at you, as you were told it would.
You take an arrow, standing on top of Sidon's back, aim, and fire. You hit the first block and it shatters. But you don't have time to celebrate as two more are still on the way. You fire another, but miss this time.
As you do, the block of ice crashes into you and you feel yourself slip as pain radiates throughout your whole body. Luckily, Sidon grabs your arm at the last moment and manages to stabilize you in time to dodge the next block. You huff and catch your breath as you ready your arrow. This time, you are ready.
After a few rounds of ice blocks and hitting them, you manage to get close enough to Ruta. Giant waterfalls are spewing down its back and Sidon tells you to hang on. You don't really have time to question it as you barely have time to grab on before being sped up the waterfall on the Zora's back. Once he reaches the top he launches you with a flip and you go careening in the air. As you are there, you look down and see four glowing orbs.
This is your queue as you quickly whip out your bow and fire an arrow, hitting the first and then the second one, before tumbling back into the murky water. You push and take a deep breath as your head breaks the surface. Sidon is there within seconds to pull you back onto his back.
As you look to Ruta, you see more Ice blocks heading your way and you pull out your bow again to fire.
Once this is done and you are lunched into the air again, you hit the final two orbs and then Ruta groans as it comes to a grinding halt.
You've done it. You've temporarily stopped the Beast, however...
Great job, but now this is where my help ends. Only the heroes chosen by the goddess can truly stop the beast from within. You must climb that ladder and take out the monster controlling it inside. Hurry!
Sidon floats you up to the indents in the side of the beast that lead to an opening. You clamber up into the mechanical beast. As you cross the threshold, you look inside. A bunch of gears and pedestals await you to conquer them. It's time for you to take on the Divine Water Elephant...
Ruta.
