Sidon is the best villain, he just FREAKING TAKES YOUR STUFF AND DOESN'T GIVE IT BACK what an absolute legend Yeah it is incredibly impressive, you have to give him that. He's almost Hantzian though. Like I see the people who just hate him and will not vote for him in the end accumulating, and if he loses in the end, it's kind of his fault because I do think he had other options and the way he's dealing with people like Oven and Mipha right now is really not good. But that's also a very irritating end to his story so hopefully it doesn't happen |

hmmmmmm i wouldn't say hantzian maybe? i think you can distinguish it because hantz disregarded how other people felt in their dealings, considering strategy the be-all etc; i get the feeling sidon is not so deliberate

That's definitely true. Sidon is caught up in his own emotions in a way that Hantz kind of wasn't, at least on the surface.
But I think being like hey, I'll totally ruin my relationship with this person for an idol is kind of prioritizing strategy over someone's feelings, 100%

Not that he even should return the idol but like, if he doesn't get Mipha's Jury vote, this moment will definitely be a huge part of why mildly warmed up take: sidon should have rejected mipha's passing of the idol immediately to avoid the situation where good play dictates he simultaneously keeps the idol (duh) and doesn't (jury vote-wise) i can't recall whether he invited the passing but if he did, maybe he shouldn't have

i have no idea if that's an entirely stupid hypothetical or not though, and in either case it is a hypothetical aside from the actual situation which is that both keeping juror!mipha on the table and keeping the idol requires a level of deft handling that is quite difficult at best

I don't think he knew about it being passed to him before it was passed. But I agree, this could ultimately be the death knell for his game, especially with the nullifier floating around, though it probably isn't
