Saas’ Saasy Solicitations
Hi there! Saas here. Congrats so much on making it to the merge! I’m incredibly proud of you. Or I will be proud of you if you answer my solicitations thoroughly, so make your responses good!
1. How do you react to Oaki and Ancient Oven returning to the game? Is this good or bad for your game? Do you think it could be a revolving door where the returning players are immediately targeted, or do you think Oaki and Ancient Oven will be able to integrate into the existing alliance structure?
2. There are many potential items either already introduced or soon to be introduced to the game. How does this change your strategy? What items, if any, do you know about, and how do you plan to use them or play around them?
3. The merge vote is often a crucial round that can set the pace for the rest of the game. What options do you think will be on the table? Is there anyone in particular you want to target? How are you going to make the merge work to your advantage?
4. With so many swaps, are tribal lines still something you’re thinking about? What tribal lines, if any, do you see mattering moving forward?
5. Endgame is a long way off, but are you thinking about it at all? Of the 13 players left, who can see yourself sitting next to in the end, and who do you definitely want to avoid sitting next to? Why? What steps are you going to take to get there with the people you want to be with and to avoid getting there with the people you don’t want to be with?
Thanks in advance for your insights, and good luck moving forward in the game! Defeat is coming inevitably toward all but one of you, but fight and do your best to not make too much of a fool of yourself.

I was naturally a bit more excited to see Ancient Oven return, as we had a decent personal and strategic relationship leaving the Wisdom Tribe. Oaki is a bit of a conundrum to me: I've heard from Kohga and Epona that they were incredibly close to Patricia — a byproduct of Riju, Patricia, and Mipha trying to enlist allies during the "open season" before Heart, Stamina, and Spirit. If this information holds, it could lead to a Patricia/Mipha/Oaki group. Revali was also quite partial to the motorcycle salesman, which may be good in that it muddies any plans made with Epona and Royal White Horse, but it also risks adding him to that hypothetical foursome. Add a generous amount of chaos in the form of SO MANY ITEMS potentially entering the game, and it is really anyone's guess as to how these first couple of rounds turn out.
Given the fact that Mipha played an idol (Naydra's Scale) and Link played a separate idol (Heart Container), I am going to assume that no fewer than six idols have been put into circulation.
Sidon casually let slip that he had a Legacy Advantage when stressing about Oaki's return — a Freudian slip? Is there a correlation between the advantage and Oaki?
Hunnie told me she won an item that, when activated, allows her to receive information about an immunity challenge.
Link and I know about the Sensor+ .
I would assume the other items listed in the Reward Challenge also found homes.
So yeah, that's a lot of potential ways to meet an unfortunate end in this game. Without knowing the true extent to which items saturate the merge, it's hard to factor them into plans. I prefer to be a proactive player rather than a reactive one, but in this case I may need to just lay low and hope that people leave the game with unused advantages or use them in such a way that I don't get caught in the crossfire.
I've spent most of the day laying the groundwork for people to shift their attention away from me. Sidon and Kohga are now preoccupied with Oaki and Oven, but the paranoia has already yielded mistakes — I doubt Sidon would have otherwise told me about the Legacy Advantage. Ideally, I would like to remove some uncertainties from the board; Patricia, Oaki, or Horse. Before the the resurrections, I would have likely pushed Horse just to give myself more options; Now that that's changed, it may be best to let the game come to me this round instead of getting out in front of any potential decisions. I've done what I can to clear up things with Mipha. I've initiated conversations with Oaki and Oven. I have Sidon, Kohga, and Kass approaching me for a four-person pact to help them stay safe. There is a lot going on, and it would be foolish to feel any sense of comfort without an immunity necklace, BUT if I go out I will do so knowing I did all I could with what I've been given to insulate myself.
If you'd asked me this morning, I would have said tribal lines have become so incoherent that it's better to perceive the dynamic in temporary voting blocs or "trust clusters." With Oaki and Oven returning, though, I think it would be naive of me to not worry players will target Wisdom. Two facets of the Zora tribe are incredibly influential as well, so if they DO manage to assimilate with Oaki and others, that could be an issue as well.
At the moment, I think it is incredibly unlikely I'll find myself sitting at the end. I am consistently at the bottom of any potential alliance formation, and if people want to use me as a scapegoat for an "easy boot" as a social threat, I am good as dead with no items at my disposal. I've had to rely on instinct, adaptability, and no short amount of (hopefully accurate) perception to get to this point, but that can only get me so far if I wind up in a situation where everyone around me has multiple items. If the Spectators would like to give me a magic button to purge all advantages from the game, then I would more than happily do so.
For now, I'm putting an inordinate amount of faith in my bond (?) with Link. I'm struggling to open back up to Revali, because I just can't shake the notion that he is deceiving me. To me, that has been absolutely soul crushing: I envisioned a scenario where I got to the end with a player who was equally deserving to win, who fought with me against insurmountable odds to face a Jury of excellent foes. It seems our bond was only an expedience to him, though.

Oven and Oaki are pissed at certain people is that everything going on? If we wanted a divorce from Sidon (and maybe Royal Horse by extension) this seems like the time to consider it. Let's talk about whether Sidon has fingers in too many pies tomorrow. Is it my imagination that Sidon is everybody's friend? This is a test, isn't it? I'm being set up to give into the hope that Epona might be turned.

btw -- mipha says you told her that horse was going after her, patty, and link. is that true? well, both that u actually told her that, and that horse is going after those? This essentially confirms I can't trust Mipha moving forward. Tried to extend an olive branch to build something to fight off the Horse narrative of Mipha v. Urbosa, but if she is going to just pass along anything I say to her there's nothing much else to say here.

the first pm ive gotten from patty in 24 hours says "welcome to tc, it's me or horse, pick a side" This is honestly a win/win situation for me, as either option neutralizes a player I don't see any hope of working with long term. It also undercuts this ridiculous push for Link as a consensus vote. No. Don't touch that cherubic Champion.

I am also getting the impression that Link is the most likely vote tonight, though Mipha expressed to me that she is worried that Link may have the Courage idol? If so, I was wondering if we want to place a few votes on a backup target, either Patricia or somebody else entirely? That is, unless if any other plans have surfaced in the hour it took me to respond to you lol. I'm fully aware Hunnie is likely floating this my way to test my allegiances to Mipha/Patricia (or to at least let me take the heat for a potential move if things go south), but YES, HUNNIE. I essentially took Sidon's comments about Link trolling him and ran with it across my conversations to suggest Link, suddenly and uncharacteristically antagonistic, is likely trying to bait people to vote for him because he has something up his sleeve. Which isn't necessarily false with the Sensor in his possession, but if I can spread some idol paranoia that may tip the scales in Link's favor. Hylia, maybe he does have a second idol and is just keeping it under wraps. Can't say I'd blame him for it.

Considered trying to steal the Legacy Advantage from Sidon and passing it to Link to use just to ENRAGE Sidon even more. I may not have any shot of winning after this round, but I will at least try to make things entertaining for you, Guides and Spectators.

Did I pitch Kohga on a F2 deal to cover my ass for when Link inevitably takes a century-long sleep again? Yes.
Do I think either of us expects that deal to last? No.

Link, if you are reading this, then please know I pushed as hard as I could all last night and today to get the votes to keep you. People are so convinced both you and Horse have idols that they wouldn't budge, though. I can't risk being the only person to vote Horse -- not this early.
