ENTRY 01
I tip my shield to the Guides for this tribe setup — most of the Wisdom Tribe expected a shuffle of some sort going from 21 players to 18, but I don't think many could have anticipated the result would be 6 tribes of 3 players. Once the momentary shock of the situation passed and I realized this was yet another opportunity to develop the narrative, I got to work -- both collecting information on the Courage and Power tribes, and in making the necessary inroads with my new teammates.
The result has been something truly magical.
I think all three of us were very much relieved for a change of pace and/or environment: Power was evidently a maelstrom of internal drama and struggle, whereas Courage had a handful of dominant personalities that paths forward seemed blocked. Of course, these accounts from Kass and Prince Sidon, respectively, could be heavily skewed to paint them in sympathetic hues, but I'm choosing to believe both of them until information suggests alternate perspectives.
That seems to be the theme of the round: Perspective. I thought I had created great partnerships in Wisdom, but those bonds seem to pale in comparison to whatever I've found on Kakariko Village. Sidon and I hit it off almost immediately, and Kass is such a breath of fresh air to converse with. I was (and still am) a bit skeptical that this arrangement was too good to be true, but as we began providing accounts of Round 1 and bouncing strategy off one another with regard to the tribal rankings, it became apparent that — if at least for the moment — our goals were in sync. Of course, if something seems too good to be true, then it likely is. I'd much rather have Sidon on my side for the time being, however, as I get the feeling the prince is VERY well connected. I need to explore those lines as best as I can before making a misstep.
Collectively, we proposed sticking together past this round. This gives me options in the event I've lost Epona, Mipha, or Hunnie, and also affords me connections when reaching out to members of the other tribes.
In the grand scheme of things, however, my goal this round is to lower my profile. Seem dependable, but almost docile to both Sidon and Kass. If both get the impression I'm an asset they can bend or otherwise influence, then that becomes the narrative they spread to their former allies. I don't want to be taken as seriously during this stage of the game; instead, I will let others fly too close to the sun and watch them fall one by one.
