I have deemed you worthy of inheriting this paraglider. You have proven your worth.
Before you go though, I feel that I haven’t quite been forthright with you all. As such, you deserve to hear the truth.
In a blinding flash of light, all players, including you, hold their arms above their heads as the cloaked man dazzles with a brilliant display. After a moment all arms come down, and floating in front of them is a very kingly figure. However, he is translucent and surrounded by blue flames.
I am King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule, or...i used to be. 100 years ago, I was one of the citizens of Hyrule that fell to the attack by Calamity Ganon. i am both a failure to my kingdom and to my daughter who is currently the only thing preventing the destruction of our lands. She sits in Hyrule Castle as she has for all of time, keeping the monster at bay. i request you heroes journey to the many cities in the lands of Hyrule to help reawaken the four sleeping mechanical Divine Beasts that will help you defeat Calamity Ganon. I ask this, both as the fallen King, and as a father, that you use this paraglider in your quest to help destroy Calamity Ganon.
You receive a paraglider which you can use to finally leave the Great Plateau. As you look in the distance, you see a great castle, easily as tall as some of the surrounding mountains, but surrounding it is a giant black and purple cloud with the head of a beast swirling around it menacingly. King Rhoam looks at your worried looks.
That is Calamity Ganon. it currently is bound to the castle because my daughter has been holding out these past 100 years in keeping it that way. However, her strength is waning. Please venture forth to the many cities in our lands which will in turn lead you to the power to suppress Calamity Ganon in the four Divine Beasts. Time is running out, please hurry and split up to venture forth! This will help you cover more ground. And a map, to show you where each city is.
After this, King Rhoam disappears. You and the rest of the adventurers take your paragliders and maps and one by one, you each glide off into the distance to gather clues relating to the Divine Beasts in one of the six major settlements left:
Gerudo Town, Goron City, Zora’s Domain, Korok Forest, Rito Village, & Kakariko Village.
