Okay, maybe it's time to start a proper confessional here.
My basic introduction is that I am playing Survivor again after a pretty significant hiatus! And as of right now, I'm honestly still finding my place on this tribe. I feel like by this time, I should have more concrete thoughts about people, but mostly I'm just hoping I don't find myself on the outside looking in. It's hard to say how quickly these people move, but I have to assume alliances are being formed... and quite possibly there is already a full majority group that doesn't include me, but hopefully not!
As of now, the only semi-official alliance I have is with Urbosa. I am trying to be as likable and approachable as possible, though I was also only around for the first few hours after the game opened, and things may have had a chance to escalate further last night. Right now, I feel I need to jump into the socializing with full force if I don't want to be left out in the cold. Ultimately, I'm very open-minded in how this will go in terms of specific people to work with, and I'll have to see what the structure of this group will end up looking like.
Other than that, I've collected quite a few Rupees, and we'll see how that turns out!

Yes extremely.
I'm kinda okay with the triple elimination. It gets everything started quickly, and if I can survive one TC then I'm in the Final 18!

It seems quite possible that a majority has already formed between Epona, Urbosa, Pelison, and Mipha. I think I can manage to make myself "5th" in this alliance, if such a distinction matters at this point.
The more optimistic side is that this majority has not yet fully formed yet, and I am joining in the formation of it. But I wouldn't put it past people to make a 4-person majority as soon as possible, and I was not super active in the first day. It's still early, though, so I'm not going to sweat about this.

So as of now I do at least have separate (hopefully legit) alliances with Urbosa, Pelison, Epona, and Mipha. Most of these people also seem to like each other, so I kinda wouldn't mind if this just became an "ALLIANCE OF FIVE" thing. I am certain that most of these people already have deals with most of the others, but I'm cautiously optimistic that the four of them don't have a single unified alliance that excludes me. And if they do, then I guess my best bet is to tag along as a hopeful 5th member.

Getting kind of weird vibes at the moment. It feels like nobody really wants to talk specific names. I definitely feel like a potential target going into this vote.

Eh... I'm probably okay, looks like it might be Karson going out. Either way, I'm definitely not at the "top" of this tribe by any means, but maybe I've given myself enough room to make it to a swap and play around a bit more. The game before the first swap is almost non-strategic in a way, since it's usually based almost entirely on social play. That's not my forte at all, but I think I may be hanging in here just well enough. We'll see.

So at this point I do think I'm fine. From what I've heard Karson is targeting Pelison, and then he also sent me a PM asking why I've been ignoring his messages. (Guilty, oops.) Urbosa also sent me a message saying some people are reconsidering voting Pelison instead, apparently because Pelison leaked the plan to vote out Karson TO Karson.
I would honestly prefer to stay the course and just vote Karson, especially if he now knows that we were going to vote him off.

Overall, though, this is a good sign since it implies I may be ahead of Pelison in the pecking order as well.

I am feeling surprisingly okay with my position. There is of course a chance I'm about to be brutally blindsided, but I don't particularly see why. I think Karson is going, and I feel reasonably confident that Pelison is next, and maybe even Ancient Oven after that. I was really worried about this early part of the game, but I think I'm managing well enough. In a little over an hour, I'll have confirmation if I indeed survived my first Tribal Council, which was my first goal in this game.
In addition to that, I'm really kind of enjoying myself. I'm a little bit less anxious and inhibited when sending messages to people than I have been in the past, and I'm hoping this fact will reflect itself with better social gameplay on my end.
