Daily report! (Never mind...OCCASIONAL report...)

Okay! For you mods and spectators out there, I'm going to make a daily status report before turning in for the night (or in the morning if I fall asleep/forget/don't feel like it). It will start with a screenshot of my PM screen as a measure of who I've been talking to and the rough status of those relationships.

=I stayed mostly out of the public thread today. Not really interested as yet, nothing of import in there. I'd rather start relatively fresh when challenges, tribe swaps, or the merge bring me into contact with them.
=As such, my interaction was mostly limited to my tribe. I think I'm getting a good feel for where the lines will be drawn. I began a bit of a game within our group thread, based on the classic "I never." Outed myself as a LSG virgin, seemed to go over just fine. I want people to take me seriously, but underestimate me a bit. I implied to everyone that I chose Power, but didn't say so specifically. I kept up the gimmick of roleplaying a child in public, though it fell apart a little in PMs. That's okay. No one objected to it, and most played along.
=Roscoe is talking to me the most, and we're getting along splendidly. He indicated Revali and I as his closest tribemates thus far, followed by Kass. Down from there was Magda and Kohga, with Patty on the bottom. We connected on books and a bit on TV. Our personalities seem to mesh well.
=Kass looks like he may be my strongest ally. We connected on vocabulary, our struggles with the challenge, especially anagrams, and books. I helped him with the crossword a little, and he approached me about an early alliance. I introduced Roscoe's high opinion of Kass and upped the ante by cautiously suggesting a triple entente. Opened up to him about my reads, waiting to hear back.
=Kohga is doing a little light roleplaying of his own, though it seems a little intangible. That's fine. He's been friendly, and I feel like he's feeling me out for an alliance. We'll see, I'm not there yet, though I wouldn't mind stringing him along.
=Revali and I connected on bird watching, games, and books, but not really all that much. If Roscoe wants to work with him, that's okay, but he'll be a short-term ally at most unless something changes.
=Magda was pleasant, but thus far isn't really showing much more. She struggled out loud with the challenge, which may mean she's dead weight to be dropped.
=Patricia was kind of unpleasant. I dislike puns (though I didn't say so) and her social graces were minimal at best. The others I've talked to have similar opinions so far. Easy first pick-off.

=I think Kass and Roscoe will be my core group, with Reyali and Kohga on the periphery. I'll have to pay close attention to others' relationships as we go. Good first day!

Interesting development, diary!



I honestly have no idea where she's getting this from.

1. Well, I have a solid alliance with Roscoe and Kass, and we're looking to add Patricia, as she's the likely target of the other side. Revali (and maybe Magda) were hard at work late last night/early this morning trying to sow discord between Patty and I, but we cottoned on to what was up and turned the tables. As such, we were set to remove the puppeteer (Revali) 4 to 3. Revali getting immunity threw a monkey wrench in that plan, so we'll be taking out one of his supporting cast instead. Between Kohga and Magda, the latter seems less likely to be useful down the line and also less likely to adapt to changing conditions, so it's her.

2. I believe Patricia has it. Kohga just told me that everyone but her has claimed not to have it, and I know Kass, Revali, and Magda went for immunity. I don't have it, thanks to my pathetic challenge time. I'm not worried about it just yet, but I'm not forgetting either.

3. Revali, and no for obvious reasons. We're playing nice for now, but puppetmastering that badly isn't going to fly around here.

4. 85% - My alliance *seems* to be rock solid, but it hasn't been put to the test yet. There's a chance I'm being played for a fool, but it's low-order probability.

5. Kass. I get on well with Roscoe, and Patricia seems to (at least) be grateful for the bail-out, but Kass and I appear to be on the same page with nearly everything. He's whip smart and pleasant, and we're strategically compatible.

Sorry, diary! I'm a little behind on updating you. So here's the skinny - the vote in the Power tribe went off without a hitch. I was sad to see Magda go, but such is life. Kass, Roscoe, Patricia, and I have a solid alliance, and with Revali possessing immunity, it came down to Magda and Kohga. Kohga struck me as more adaptable, likely to see which way the wind was blowing, while Magda seemed to be a lot more apt to take the move as a betrayal and hold a grudge. We'll see how it shakes out.

That said, tribe swap! I'm getting along very well with both of the horse-folk. Royal White Horse in particular is articulate, clever, and diligent. We wildly underestimated the challenge, but did so as a group. With no one urging us to higher scores or better strategy, we assumed we were doing alright. If someone had come in with a 20K score, I'd definitely have tried different strategies. Oh well. We ended up with Kakariko village, which brought me back with my ally Kass.

Turns out Kass had connected well with Prince Sidon, who was close to RWH. After consulting with allies and feeling one another out, the four of us agreed pretty easily to turn the vote onto one of the Wisdom players. There was some back-and-forth about which one it would be, with all of us mostly ambivalent. A break came when Epona seemed to volunteer to me to flip on Urbosa. Urbosa is nice enough, but has been pretty absent to me, so that's where the vote is going.

I'm a little paranoid that the Courage and Wisdom crews are playing Kass and I.
