I did try to work at the challenge more but didn't get anything better. One run was close but then was interrupted by someone asking for help with a computer problem. That one just breached ten minutes =P
Going to go to sleep, but I feel relatively confident with my score. I had a thought on my way to work today.
I got my second preference item and Oven got his first preference item. We did this in Broth of the Weld which relied on the player's ability to play the game explicitly NOT as the developers intended. His strategy involved frame skipping, my strategy involved using items in busted combination with each other.
I don't think the players here have that kind of thought process when it comes to flash games. Revali figured out the optimal difficulty to compete in Flash Surf on, but that's a different skillset. That's using things that the developer has explicitly given you the choice to do. Needing to play the game not as intended feels like something that a lot of these players would've taken a while to figure out how to do? I dunno... the mod responses to Broth of the Weld indicate that people tend to have this idea that if something's wrong it's the game and not them. Heck even I thought a bit like that during the maths challenge until I registered what was going on.
I think that someone hit ten minutes, but I can't imagine people going much further.
I'm prepared to be wrong, though. But that's my reasoning for thinking 14 minutes is solid. This lot aren't super adaptable to flash games/real games and needing to play the first three minutes in a completely different style to the last eleven minutes (and even needing to change your playstyle during those eleven minutes) is something that I see this group struggling with.

You made the merge!
Lets get some questions going....
1) Who are your allies here? With 9 players you only need 5 for a majority, who would be in your majority alliance?
2) Who would be your ideal picks to be voted off this round? Do you have a preferred boot order to the end?
3) BANNERS!!! Which one is your favourite? Aren't they all so damn good!!!
4) What's the current gossip on items and idols? What items do you know about and what do others know about your items, if you have or have had any?
5) What twists and challenges do you think/want to come up between now and the end game?
6) Larger Jury than you probably expected, is this good or bad? Are there any jurors you wish weren't on the jury? Who do you think would vote for you?

This is my first time ever making merge! This is awesome! I may have been voted out before merge, but I got myself back here. 1) I still don't like the A word. A-word means that someone's picked four people to make a pyramid with themselves at the top. But, Oven, Mipha and I have formed the Chamber Gang. Not sure if that's our name, but we're the best (or worst) that the Chamber has to offer. Sidon and I are still tight. So I've got three friends to make four. Kohga, Kass, or Epona I feel like are friends I could get with. 2) I don't have a preferred boot order. I think of this game one day at a time. Planning big and long term is what gets me into trouble/perceived as a schemer. I just sell motorcycles and take it day by day. I've got Sidon, Oven, and Mipha as super close allies at the moment. That's gonna break at some point. Dunno when. Who cares? That's half the fun! 3) I like the green ones. Any of the ones that meant you had less avatars to make 4) Oh, item count? Oven has the nullifier Oaki has the cryosleep assuming he doesn't give it to someone for no real reason Uh... yeah. Not really sure after that. People have to have things but I don't know who or how much. Kass thought everybody thought I had everything. So... there's that. I have an empty bag of tricks. But I can play into the fact that they think it's full. 5) Well no more Chamber, by the sound of it! Not sure what else we have going on though. Maybe another restricted PM tribal? 6) All of my friends went out in the first half of the game, so I think I'm good with this jury. Though Mipha tells me that none of them respect the Resurrection Chamber. In which case I'll have to just appeal to their love of motorcycles.

Oh, also.
If I get voted out.
I only want to go out because someone played the Motorcycle Idol to idol me out.
Because that'd be the most awesome way to be sent home.

I think the best move for Oaki here is to unite the unpopular crew.
Get Myself, Revali, Sidon, and Oven together with Mipha and pick off one of the big names. Save Urbosa.
I think that... I'm not in as much of a bad spot as I thought? Everyone seems to be more cool with me than I thought. I think because they've all written me off as an idiot.
I think... that I have a chance now.

That's a really good question... Epona and Kass seem to be the big names right now. It is very surreal realising that there only are eight options.
It can't be Sidon, Mipha, Oven, or myself. I'd really prefer not Urbosa because we're starting to actually bond. Revali and I are in an interesting position, so I'd rather not vote him out. Kohga and I are bonding over our scepticism of Epona.
That leaves Epona or Kass.
I want to follow everyone else's lead on that because I feel like I've got to keep playing it cool for another round or two. Though I think I'd rather get Epona out?
I'm just not used to there being so few people around.

Oh also I was gonna look at the jury and try to figure out where they stand.
Riju, Patricia, and Pelison I reckon I could get votes from. They all seemed keen to have me re-enter the game.
Mipha's said that most of them don't like the Resurrection Chamber though. So... Magda and Teebo I'm assuming I can count on not voting for me? Link and Horse I have no idea where they'll vote though.

I like that nickname!
So at this point in time:
Mipha, Oven, and myself are in a position where everyone is terrified that there's a returnee voting block. Which is a fair enough fear. But then Urbosa came to us saying "If we all vote Kass, we just need one more."
The problem is that everybody (even my bro Sidon) is so scared of the returnees that they don't like this idea of Kass. So my mission is basically to push hard on Kass while telling people that 1) it's Urbosa's idea so they're not scared of the voting block, and 2) while reassuring them that I'll betray one of the returnees (or Urbosa) at the next vote.
I will betray Mipha if I have to (the current target), but I'd really rather not. I'm telling people she probably has an idol from the resurrection chamber that she'll play tonight to get people to vote in a different direction. So far it seems to be not an unwinnable battle. Epona is happy with a Mipha/Kass split, I know that much.
But Sidon and I may be on opposite sides of this vote. But that's okay. We're Bros.

I am writing this before checking my PMs so you get my thought process as it was leaving for work:
Mipha, Oven, and I are all looking for a vote that means we don't have to turn on each other, and Urbosa came to us with the idea.
Revali I think is the most likely to join us as a fifth.
Let's see how that is after PMs

Ahh, Kass seems to not be too happy.
Oaki the walking meme that's here to get peed on while synthesising in a urinal. Because what else would happen if I decided to sit in a urinal to synthesise on?

My PM to Kass in response to his question. I knew that he knew what I had done so I had fun with it:
Well I went to work, a bunch of the kids wanted to practice their violin music and so I got to sit there and half conduct/teach them basic music practice theory. Then I played Fire Emblem on the bus home and met a guy called Jack who also plays Fire Emblem and so we got talking. I was going to stop off at a second hand store to sell off some DVDs and we got chatting so he decided to come with me. Then I realised I had to get home quickly for dinner so sort of did a dash after picking up an Amiibo that I intend on customising with some glue and scissors and paint that I have lying around.
Oh! And before that I checked if anybody wanted to vote you out because Urbosa was like "hey, if you can get one vote then you three returnees and I can vote out Kass and save the three of you!". If that's what you're talking about? So I decided to see if that could happen so there'd be a path that kept three returnees in the game.
Nobody wants to vote you out. Like, actually nobody. I'm impressed, to be honest!
So three returnees sticking around? That's not a thing that can happen. I ain't writing your name down. And Urbosa's probably not too happy about me mentioning that she'd be in on that plan... whoops! What can I say except... actually I can say a lot of things.
Though the words I think you're looking for are "My vote is going on Oven" and I don't intend on ever lying about where my votes are landing... even if I've been somewhat unreliable in other areas.
There's no point being secretive about anything. I did want to take a shot on you precisely because you're quite possibly the single most likeable and competent player here, even if you're not formally in control of anything. The fact that everybody else sees you as an important part of their plan moving forward is definitely points in your favour. I genuinely don't think there is a universe that involves you leaving the game before the final five. Even then? I'm pretty sure you're an endgame player at this point.
Next best thing? Take out Oven so that the threat of the returnees doesn't exist.
There's no reason to lie to you. I realise that you probably aren't going to be big on the fact that I was in on a scout against you, and like I'm ready to protect myself assuming you do come for me (which would make sense), but making a move on you anytime soon literally isn't possible. So I have lost all interest in it.
