Welcome

In the last challenge, you were trying to shield surf to beat your other adventurers for a cash prize. Unfortunately, you did not have a lot of time to practice and strayed off course. You tried to stop or get ahold of yourself, but lost control and found yourself going down a steep slope and careening off a cliff.



You try to call out for help or reach out for anything, but you are flailing into the night sky until with a loud crash, you are plunged into the frigid depths of what you assume to be an ocean due to the heavy salt that stings your chapped lips. You try to tread water and keep your head above the waves, but you soon find yourself unable to do so as you slip below the water into the unconscious.

Your eyes blink as bright sunlight beams down upon you and you strain as you slowly spit sand out of your mouth. Seagulls are screeching overhead and you can smell some sort of fresh fruit. You shake your head and sit up. Your whole body aches, likely from having fallen into the ocean prior. You groan as you reach down to your pack to pull out some food, but blink as you only touch your own waist.

You look down and realize all you have is a ripped pair of pants and the tattered remains of your shirt left. Your sword, your shield, your supplies...everything is gone!

Panic begins to set in as you stand up and look around. To your horror you see only sandy beaches, and behind you a very very thin line of foliage and palm trees. A small hill looms to the side of what appears to be an island you've found yourself on. in the far distance, you think you can see what looks like another body of land, maybe its where you came from? in any case it would be far too long to swim to given you have nothing but the clothes you washed ashore with.



To you that has traveled to this island...

Welcome to Evantide island. This place is known as the island of rebirth. Where adventurers arrive in order to start over. i will give you a task in a moment, and should you complete it, you will return to land with the object you had prior plus a bonus. Do you wish to accept the challenge?



You look around for the source of the voice, but it appears, much like Zelda's, this voice is only playing in your head. There is no obvious person anywhere, though a few moblins appear to have made camp a little further down the beach. They don't appear to have noticed you yet. Obviously, you have to accept the challenge. You don't know how else to get off this barren place. You nod, but fold your arms as you don't really feel you have another option.



For the next 48 hours, survive here using only the resources you find on this island. if you can manage that, i will bestow upon you the belongings you washed ashore with along with a bonus. Best of luck adventurer.



Survive for 48 hours. This doesn't seem too bad. So long as the moblins don't get you and you can find a source of food and water, you should be able to meet the challenge. Clearly if you can survive falling off a cliff and nearly drowning, what's a deserted island (minus the monsters) got on you? You look around and grab a nearby stick. Certainly taking out the moblins and getting some of that delicious meat would be a good start. You begin to plan how you are going to get that accomplished.
