Welcome to Gerudo Town. This is a place of strong female warriors. If you are male, you should probably work on getting disguises so you aren't thrown out. Also I recommend taking some water with you, as it is an arid desert. You can only communicate with the people on this tribe and can post whatever you want in this forum so long as you follow all of the rules. Things that typically happen on your tribe: 1. Discussing challenges 2. Tribal Council stuff (such as questions & results) 3. Shitposting (because yay bonding!) 4. Whatever else floats your boat within the confines of the rules. 5. Other stuff, who knows?Let the Guides of Hyrule know if you have any questions and may the Goddess be with you always!

There's no time for rest for the weary! The remaining heroes who survived the first trials quickly gather up into sets of three to visit the six settlements. You find yourself in the crew of adventurers headed for the Desert Oasis known as Gerudo Town. You and the other two adventurers who appear to be joining you for this take your paragliders, give each other a nod and leap off. The wind whips your face as you take in the sight of Hyrule. The lands are covered in a blanketed darkness, but as you sail past the clouds, you see the splendor of the trees and the sparkling lakes that coat the land in a brilliant display of colors. The tall rocky peaks line the continent as if holding the entirety of the lands, protecting them from outside horrors. But alas, as you sail beyond the central point, you see the purple clouds that plague them from within. The sinister, dark aura that adds pressure as you descend. Calamity Ganon is the virus that must be cured, and you know time is not on your side. You land in one of the many fields of green, and pull out the sheikah slate and pull up the map function that appears to have updated to your current area. You and your two new comrades look around and begin to head in the direction that a small glowing yellow dot. ~~~~~~~~~~~ After trekking for what feels like hours, the three of you go from the damp soft grassy meadows to loose unstable scorching sands. Taking steps feels like your energy is being sapped from your body. Step by step, you struggle not to sink into the vast sands in front of you. You walk for what feels like an eternity, and just when you think you can't go any further, an oasis appears in the distance. A large rock overlooking a pool of water with palm trees around it and a somewhat bustling market. The three of you clamber to the oasis and take a gulp of water. it is refreshing and helps to cool you off in the unbeatable heat. Most of the rest of the inhabitants here appear to be fixated on the market place. Curious, you all join them. in the middle is a variety of items including a pair of sand shoes which people seem to be bidding on. This would make your trek go better as you still have a ways to Gerudo Town. However, the price currently is too steep. With the scarce nature of rupees, the currency in Hyrule, you haven't had any time to gather nearly enough for them. in addition, you come by information that only females are allowed into Gerudo Town anyways. Something about tradition and men being the scum of the earth. Unfortunately for you all, at least one of you is male. Therefore, you are at a loss as for how to get in. Just as you are about to give up hope, you hear someone say... Yoo hoo! Adventurers. You look like you need some help. The name's Vilia and i think i have just what you need in order to get into Gerudo Town. Don't think much, i just overheard you talking to others about it. Come here and i'll assist. You all pause a moment. You don't know this person nor do you have any reason to trust that they are going to help you, but you don't have other ideas. So on a leap of faith you trust him. ~~ About thirty minutes later, the male members of your party are now dressed in silk garments of bright colors and are dressed very feminine. A veil masks their more masculine features and what is exposed is ambiguous enough to imply femininity. The guy who gave you these has really gone out of his...or her?...way to help you and asks for a nominal fee which you happily pay. As you walk in your new get up, you pass by the merchant selling the sand shoes. He is so encapsulated with how you look that he gives you the sand shoes for free. With your new garb and shoes in toe, the rest of the trek is a cinch and the muscled Gerudo warriors do not stop you from entering. You take a step into the sandstone buildings and magnificent water structures that line them. The guards roam the streets and females of all creeds walk around taking in the magnificence of... Gerudo Town. it is here, you hope to find out more information about the Divine Beast that roams the desert. Time to get to work.

I have several questions. The most pressing is, as horses, are Epona and myself also wearing pretty veils now, because I have spent a lot of time on my mane and such a headpiece would no doubt ruin it all.
The other is that you say the prices are too steep. But I say neighme said prices and I'll make the time.

Yay! I like dress-up, because I am an enlightened little boy with progressive notions regarding gender roles and the perception thereof. But even more, I like traveling with not one but TWO horsies!
Should we play a game, horse-friends?

Speaking of games (but really challenges) we are working together on this one to avoid TC, or at least to be able to pick our partner tribe.
I've gone through the different settings three times now. First I did speed 2 congestion 2, kind of just doing the best first try I could, and got a score in the mid-5000s. Definitely can do better. Then I amped it up to max difficulty (speed 3 congestion 5) and just kind of ignored the greys, which are ridiculously numerous and fast, and got a similar mid-5000s score. Let's call that a baseline. In contrast, I then did speed 1, congestion 1, and hit *every single* color box with no greys and no misses. 1422. So we're not going to get anywhere by just trying to maximize multipliers. Headed back into it.

Great research Teebo! I'll check your notes here before I start making runs tomorrow morning!

After trying to a bit, my highest score has been 4800ish on the highest speed and congestion. Every other attempt has been seriously low, so this neighbe a problem.

As I say that, I just did a good run with 5800.
This might end up being more luck than skill for me.

Try this - do the highest speed and difficulty, and just completely ignore the gray blockers. I just got a score of 9061 by doing nothing but hitting every colored block I could while plowing through half the grays it threw at me. At that speed, the multiplier is never going to get above maaaaaybe x2, but the per-block point value is high.

9000+ might be a high bar, but I'm pretty consistently getting scores in the 7000s (7829, 7300, 7184, 8007.) The only other setting I've been able to crack 6k on was Speed 3 Congestion 4, and that was just 6050. I think if I keep at this I can crack 10k.

I wouldn't want this to get lost in the mix. One of my favorite games is Two Truths and a Lie. I'm sure you've heard of this before, it's nice and simple! I'll tell two truths about myself and one lie, and you try to guess which one's the fib. Nothing too revealing! Shroud of anonymity, of course. I'll go first -
1) My favorite season is summer. 2) I have one sibling, but wish I had more. 3) I have never broken a bone.

I tried a couple of runs, my best so far is 4600 on the max setting. I'll go back after breakfast with the strategy of aiming for the colors first and foremost in mind!

I guess that your lie is number three! Everyone has broken a bone. 1) I've visited three continents 2) I was a varsity wrestler in high school 3) My sister's due date just passed and she'll be having a baby any day now!

I have never broken a bone! So my guess is that Teebo's lie is about his sibling. No one wants more siblings if you already have one. That is just ridiculous.
Epona, I believe your lie is about visiting three continents. No one goes by the continents that they visit, only the countries.
As for my own, let's see here: 1) I have a vast assortment of pets, including a dog, 2 snakes, a blue-tongue skink, 3 rats, and a tank full of shrimp, snails, and an axolotl. 2) I prefer tea over coffee. 3) I have a sister who almost got stuck in a different country when all of the borders closed.
