Postmortem: that player never answered the call

i think revali and mipha both have arguments to win but don't understand what they need to be putting out front and center and instead are both accidentally saying some of the things i want to hear from them, like, buried deep in a response

kinda dreading having to make a decision because no one has blown me away nor has anyone strongly repelled me

i think i can't see myself voting for mipha. even though i like her a lot, the absolute sloppiness of the game she played from f9-f6 is just not something i can really envision as part of a winning game.

part of being a juror is deciding what you feel the least bad about having lost to.

that idea has some overlap with "who would make the most satisfying winner," but it's not exactly the same.

and i gotta admit i'd kind of rather lose to an unstoppable force than someone who was just sort of there.

sure, urbosa had a pile of items and maybe didn't maximize their usage. but did she even need them? all she really needed was "seeming like she had an idol." i may not think challenge wins are automatically a thing that makes you deserving. but there's a common theme to some of those wins and her decisions during the game: she wanted it the most, and spent a ton of time thinking through exact wording, how to get a thing to happen, etc. by no means perfect and surely on the imperfect side even of lsg winners -- her tendency to just ignore people she wasn't actively plotting with until tc was over comes to mind here-- but you don't have to be perfect, just good enough.
