 This is from Epona and is an example of strong early game play. Lets break it down. Most of this will seem really obvious but breaking down PMs is fun to me so stfu. "You know in this global crisis time I really think all of us are going through like waves of shock and stress and depression and everything in between,"Epona is relating to me but generically so as to not make assumptions. By taking a serious subject he knows I'm dealing with and stating how it's something we are all having to handle, it helps me realize that Epona is on my side and doing the same thing. If I'm struggling, Epona understands. "I'm sure we'll all be ready with our game faces for the challenge tomorrow, but please never feel bad if you're having a day where you don't have the bandwith for much else in the game."^This line alone shows why Epona is a good player. Epona is setting me up for post challenge results. If we win, it shows he had faith in our abilities but if we lose, it shows he is not blaming me and will support me regardless. This tactic is meant to help me open up to Epona thus ensuring his safety as well because why would I vote someone who is protecting me? "I'll have your back whether we just catch up every couple of days or we're breaking down Circle episodes in minute detail all day long!"Not only is Epona not going to blame me for challenge losses but he also supports me even if I can't be around socially. To help emphasize that he is trustworthy, he adds that we have something in common with the Circle showing that all Epona wants is for me to be safe and to talk with me. Now just because this is how I read the PM, doesn't mean thats what Epona's intention was. He just did what was natural which is why I'm assuming he is a good player. He has experience playing with others and connecting early and thus is on my list of people I should work with. Good players know that working with good players early is smart. Don't step on toes, you don't go home. Merge is when you make moves. |

Which people do you want to work with? Which people do you want to eliminate? I want to work with good players but I'll work with anyone and everyone early. I'll alliance whore myself out to everyone the first tribe because survival is the name of the game and you never know who you will swap with. That being said, Epona - Oven - Urbosa are my go to's just because I think it would be the easiest to work with them and maybe I can get some Rubee info from them as well. Flip side, I won't cry if any of those people go home cause well... they are good people. I will not be trying to eliminate anyone tho as making moves isn't needed right now. I've already put it in my head that labeling people with lots of rubees threats could be a thing at some point. |

My point still stands, I think Urby is either very funny and you guys just love her.... *barf*
Or she figured some shit out early. She just admitted to me the answer to the anagram so now I know she is likely farther ahead than most. She has claimed that the next part stumped her but I would say that too regardless of how well I did.

I can give you a taste of Oven's messaging. It's... different.  There are certainly worse things, such as not responding at all which is what Hunnie is doing. But this message is just difficult to respond to. I had to ask for clarification on who he was referring to which is why he is doing the "urbosa" name input thing. At least I now know he likes her? But good lord does he mostly like her because she has rubees? Haha The cookie cutter reference is because I was talking to him about having less rubees than some people on the other team. |
